Amna Liaqat has been a part of the Secondary School Guidance and Counselling Office since September, 2015. A lawyer by education, Amna’s passion for student counseling brought her to the field of education. She obtained a Certificate in Humanistic Counselling and Psychotherapy awarded by the Counselling and Psychotherapy Central Awarding Body (CPCAB), UK, and now serves as the Secondary School Counselor and as the Well-being Officer for our Child Protection Team. Amna is passionate about proactively supporting and promoting the social, emotional and academic growth of students.


As an aunt of a twelve-year-old, she understands what children and families go through during times of transition and identity development and she wants students to feel supported and secure. She is also a proud mother of a six-year-old.
