The Lahore American
School library is a resource for students, teachers, administrators
and parents. Patrons will find a comprehensive source of English
language material in various formats including
books,
magazines, newspapers, dictionaries, encyclopaedias, atlases and
EBSCO host.
Our extensive selection of fiction and nonfiction
books is catalogued on an electronic database that is user friendly.
The library subscribes to three major Pakistani English language
newspapers as well as the Gulf News and houses over forty general
interest and professional periodicals.
Six computers with internet access are available
for research purposes and wireless internet access is available
for students with personal laptops during lunch and recess times.
The library is open to students and society
members every Monday through Thursday from 7.00 am to 4.00 pm,
Friday from 7.00 am to 12.20 pm and Saturday from 8.00 am to 12
noon. Books are available for renewal for a two week lending period
and periodicals for a one week lending period.
Students are expected to follow school rules
as well as the posted rules of the library at all times. Failure
to follow these rules could lead to the loss of library privileges.
