High School Curriculum
At Lahore American School we strive to offer our students a challenging and diverse American and International college preparatory education. We strive to empower our students to become critical, independent thinkers with the skills to participate dynamically and successfully in an ever changing global society.
At LAS, we believe that our school curriculum must include learning experiences that develop active and responsible participants in their own learning. In order to develop the whole student, students must complete an in-depth and varied curricular program that includes the core subjects as well as world languages, the visual and performing arts, personal health and fitness, research, and community service learning.
In addition to our course offerings, Advanced Placement (AP) courses are available to students who wish to pursue college level study in specific subjects. The AP program is a cooperative educational endeavor between high schools, colleges and universities. It gives exposure to college level material and provides students with the opportunity to challenge themselves and to reach their potential. Based on AP exam scores, colleges may choose to grant credit, advanced placement or both. Students who enroll in AP courses are encouraged to sit for the AP exams in May.
As clear, critical thinkers with a love of learning and the required knowledge and skills, our students are certain to succeed in their future careers as well-rounded, honorable and responsible human beings who contribute positively to society.
