Welcome to Lahore American School. LAS offers an American curriculum presented exclusively in English from Pre-kindergarten through grade 5. Students spend the majority of their time with the homeroom teacher. Specialist teachers provide instruction in Urdu, art, music, physical education, Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), library and counseling. English as a Foreign Language (EFL) instruction is available for expatriate children who qualify.

LAS teachers know that educating the heart is as important as educating the mind. Character education is embedded within the curriculum. Monthly character assemblies address issues such as responsibility, trustworthiness, honesty, integrity, caring and citizenship.

Institutions of learning must also be institutions that learn. LAS faculty and administrators (PreK-12) are currently learning from Costa and Kallick's Habits of Mind series (2000). The focus is on developing an arsenal of strategies or habits to be called forth when one encounters questions or problems the answers to which are not readily apparent. We trust that parents will also find these strategies useful, and invite you to become part of the LAS Community of lifelong learners.
