Admissions Process at LAS

Admissions to Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 11 are open to local and international students, upon the successful completion of all admissions procedures. Students who have been successful and have been accepted are placed in the appropriate class by the section Principal. Grade 12 students are only accepted if they are coming to Lahore from a fully accredited international or American school, and they have fulfilled all requirements outlined below.

Documentation Required (translated into English, if necessary)

All Applicants

  • passport copy
  • birth certificate copy
  • completed LAS application forms
  • photographs (3, passport size)
  • standardized test results, if applicable
  • immunization/health information copy

Grades 6 to 12 Applicants

  • school records/transcripts for past three years with grading scale and minimum passing grade indicated
  • letter from previous school
  • previous school profile (Grades 9 to 12)

Pre-Kindergarten to Grade 5 Applicants

  • all previous school records

Age Requirements
    For Early Elementary grades, the student must have reached her/his birthday for the appropriate grade by October 1.

Pre-Kindergarten            4 years by October 1
Kindergarten                   5 years by October 1
Grade 1                            6 years by October 1
Grade 2                            7 years by October 1
and so on….

Student achievement levels and grade levels from former schools are always considered as well, and the final decisions regarding admissions/placements are made by the school Administration.

Testing

    Each student applicant from Grades 1 to 11 is tested in writing, reading and mathematics. If the student uses English as a second language, testing for English as a Foreign Language (EFL) support will be carried out as well.
