In order for students to take full advantage of the rich curriculum offered at Lahore American School and to prepare themselves for a successful and rewarding college experience, students should aim much higher than the LAS minimum graduation requirements. For students who qualify, a number of college courses can be undertaken online as an integral part of their high school curriculum.

Admission officers at colleges and universities expect students to complete successfully a challenging set of courses. While it is important to take challenging courses, it is equally important that courses be chosen to increase a student's chances of success, remembering that courses of study will vary from student to student. For example, a student who has interest in the science and engineering fields, should choose a high school program that will contain more courses in the math and science areas.

There is no magical number of Advanced Placement courses that will result in a guaranteed college acceptance. Advice should be sought from teachers and the college counselor to assist students in making the right decisions in their chosen high school course of study. LAS strives towards ensuring studdents are placed in courses where they learn and are successful.
